This ancient Greece map is highly detailed, almost so much so that I can`t read it. But maybe you scholars of Greek history will be able to make more sense of it than me.
Greece has an incredibly long and rich history stretching back thousands of years. This is not the place for a detailed historical chronical of Ancient Greece, but suffice to say that many great empires and civilizations have existed there over the millenia. This includes the Hellenistic period as well as the period of Roman rule.
Greece today is filled with relics and archaeological treasures from its ancient history. These features make Greece a frequent destination of backpackers and travellers to Europe.
